- Revealed Knowledge and Turath Group
Objective: To produce quality and high impact research in the Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Turath as the foundation for the ummah identity. One of the projects is a study on the impact of public acceptance and compliance on the verdicts by the National Fatwa Council of Islamic Affairs, Malaysia. This study measures the degree of acceptance and compliance by the society on any decision made by the National Fatwa Council and factors influencing the acceptance and compliance.
- Personality and Self-Identity Group
Objective: To increase the research on personality and self-identity development towards the strengthening the human civilization. One of the research projects is on the effectiveness of ‘Say No to Vandalism” among adolescents living at the community home project at Kampung Baru Air Panas, Setapak. The study focuses on identifying risk factors for vandalism such as neighborhood, personality, friendships quality and positive emotion among the targeted adolescents. A proposed model for preventing vandalism is an important outcome of this project.
- Dakwah, Spirituality and Human Development Group
Objective: To strengthen the research management and high impact publication in the field of dakwah, spirituality and human development, as one of the means to empower the education and civilization.
This group runs research on many societal issues including teen pregnancy, dakwah film, aggression towards women, e-mosques, social issues of converts, homeless and aborigines. Community service among the aborigines is conducted to get closer with them and understand their culture and life.
- Islam and Current Society Group
Objective: To strengthen research on Islam and current society as a mean towards national transformation agenda. An important study by this group is on the Development of Refining Aqidah and Istitabah Module as a way to prevent the apostasy , a joint research effort with Islamic Affair Department, Pulau Pinang. The group determines the relevant information and disseminate them to the Pulau Pinang Islamic Affair Department, as a mean towards combating the apostasy cases in Pulau Pinang.
- Study on West Asia Region Group
Objective: Consolidating studies on West Asia to form the policy and strategy in enhancing the relations between West Asia and Islamic world. One of the projects that has been conducted is Seminar on Palestin, focusing on humanity, sovereignty, and Freedom.
